Job Summary

As an Accounts Officer within our Finance and Accounts team, you will support the internal financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will contribute to the integrity of our financial data and help drive efficient cash‑flow management across the firm.
Job Details
- Manage and maintain accounting records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and other financial data.
- Reconciling bank accounts, vendor statements, and general ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and balance sheets for management review. Monitoring incoming and outgoing funds and following up on outstanding payments. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations (VAT, WHT, income tax) and preparing necessary tax returns. Provide information on the financial position.
- Process requests and retirements from the Expense Management System (EMS).
- Assisting with budgeting, auditing, and maintaining accurate financial records. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent work ethic in demonstrating willingness and interest in learning.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software.
- Maintain excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Membership with ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2-3 years relevant working experience in this role.
- A minimum of a Second Class (Lower) degree from an accredited university.
